Training
One of the main goals of TIGSS is to provide training that will benefit the success of the community in cutting edge research involving multi-omics, bioinformatics and pre-clinical studies.

Equipment use
We offer training in the use of many of our pieces of equipment. Our self-service option provides access to more than 14 pieces of specialized equipment. Bio-Rad field scientist are invited for annual in-person ddPCR training. Training must be completed on the specific equipment that is needed prior to using the equipment and often leads to the opportunity to use the equipment independently of TIGSS staff, which can significantly reduce costs. Please contact us if you would like training on use of specific pieces of equipment and our staff can provide details on whether training is available and how training can be obtained

bioinformatics
We offer courses for credit at the university that include coding, R, Python, differential gene expression and more. Speak with our bioinformatics group to obtain details on what is offered during each semester/session and how to register for the courses.

Genomics, Multi-omics and pre-clinical Studies
We offer consultations in experimental design and preparation of DNA, RNA and most sample types to ensure success in your multi-omic or pre-clinical studies. In the case of multi-omic studies, contact the MGC staff. In the case of pre-clinical studies contact the TPPC staff to find out more details and the best strategy to proceed.

Lunch and Learn meetings, workshops
We offer regular, often monthly lunch and learn meetings, as well as workshops in cutting edge genomics and multi-omics strategies. We will send announcements by email and on our news pages, so keep an eye out for them. If you would like to have a specific vendor or technology covered in one of these sessions contact TIGSS staff and let us know. We would be happy to work on getting one set up.
